What makes this piece special

A gaiwan that no one else owns.

This gaiwan is fired at 1,350 °C with agate in its glaze. In the heat, minerals in the glaze react and crystals grow freely across the surface – like frost flowers spreading over a window. Their size, shape and placement cannot be controlled. That is why every gaiwan leaves the kiln with its own pattern and can never be repeated.

Ice blue on cream

Soft icy blue meets a warm cream base. Under light, the crystal layers shift gently and the surface feels smooth, almost like jade. A quiet piece that brings calm to any tea table.

The classic three-piece gaiwan

Lid, bowl and saucer – the core vessel of Chinese Gongfu tea. The flared rim lets you hold the bowl comfortably and pour without burning your fingers. Suitable for Pu-erh, oolong, black and white tea.

Care

We recommend washing by hand with warm water. Avoid sudden temperature changes.

Gekauft habe ich die Nadel, weil sie nicht so spitz ist. Bei sehr hart gepressten Kuchen gibt es sonst Verletzungsgefahr. Trotzdem kann man damit gut den Tee aufbrechen. Die Nadel ist sehr schwer.
