In China, the dragon and the phoenix together stand for harmony and balance. On this tea needle they are carved in fine relief into a solid ebony handle. You feel the weight and the detailed carving the moment you pick it up.

Made for compressed tea

The pointed needle with Damascus pattern slides easily between the layers of a Pu-erh cake, brick or tuo. It loosens the leaves without crushing them, so your infusion stays clear and full of flavour.

Safe screw cap

A brass-fitted cap screws firmly over the needle. That way the tip is protected and you can store the needle safely or take it along to a tea session.

How to use it

Insert the needle at the edge of the cake, between the layers. Lever gently and lift off a portion. Work from the outside in.

Gekauft habe ich die Nadel, weil sie nicht so spitz ist. Bei sehr hart gepressten Kuchen gibt es sonst Verletzungsgefahr. Trotzdem kann man damit gut den Tee aufbrechen. Die Nadel ist sehr schwer.
