I traveled to this farm myself — high up in the mountains, where morning mist lingers between the tea rows and the air is still crisp and pure.

What I saw there is something you won’t find in any brochure: grandmothers and grandfathers who have been picking tea for decades — selecting each young leaf by hand. No noise, no rush. A sense of calm you can ultimately taste in the cup.

Three weeks before the spring harvest, the plants are shaded. This allows the leaves to develop their deep green color and delicate natural sweetness. After harvesting, stems and veins are carefully removed — only the tender leaf flesh of the classic Yabukita cultivar is stone-ground into matcha.

The result in your bowl: a vibrant green matcha, floral and naturally sweet, with a smooth finish. So mild you can enjoy it pure — without the bitterness many associate with matcha.

When I tasted it there for the first time, high in the mountains, I knew: this is the matcha meant to become your morning ritual.

The origin of this tea

Where mist, mountains and pure air shape the matcha

Our matcha grows in an organic tea garden, nestled in a landscape of gently rolling hills, surrounded by forests, rivers and wild land. Here it is not machines that set the pace, but nature itself: cool mountain climate, soft morning mist and clear nights let the tea leaves ripen slowly and develop their aroma. The garden is cultivated sustainably — in harmony with a healthy ecosystem that sustains itself. Three weeks before the spring harvest, the plants are shaded. Under the nets, the young shoots develop their deep jade green and delicate natural sweetness — the foundation for a matcha that tastes mild and smooth, without any bitterness. The tea garden is certified organic according to EU standards and has been awarded for its sustainability by the Rainforest Alliance.

I was there myself — this is where your matcha grows, under the care of the tea master of our farm.

The leaves are shaded three weeks before harvest so that the tea tastes gentle and mild. Harvesting is done by hand — shoot by shoot, by people who have mastered this craft for decades. You can taste this care in every cup. We have visited this garden ourselves, met the tea master on site and experienced the quality and tranquility of this place. This is exactly where your matcha comes from — from a place where time, nature and craftsmanship come together.
