A classic Lapsang Souchong with a distinctive tart, resinous flavor that is unforgettable. Lapsang Souchong is a pine-fired black tea crafted using a traditional Chinese technique, where the leaves are dried over pine wood, cones, and needles for a deep, smoky taste. Naturally rich in amino acids and vitamins, this tea supports energy, helps detox the body, balances gut microflora, and can reduce harmful cholesterol. Especially comforting in winter, Lapsang Souchong promotes circulation and lasting warmth—your perfect choice for a revitalizing, distinctive cup.

  • Infusion: Dark amber with reddish-brown tones; crystal clear with a warming, resinous appearance.
  • Taste: Tart, resinous, smoky, with a deep, warming finish.
  • Aroma: Smoked wood, resin, and a hint of pine.
  • Perfect for: Lovers of bold, smoky teas and winter warmth.
  • Effect: Warming, energizing, and restorative.

Brewing instructions:
For the perfect cup, use 5–6 g of tea in 500 ml of water heated to 85–95 °C. Steep for 5–6 minutes — use hotter water and a longer brew for coarser leaves with fewer buds. Stir gently before pouring to ensure a balanced flavor. Best enjoyed earlier in the day, as its invigorating character is not recommended for evening consumption.

Where does this tea come from?

Fujian: The Cradle of Tea Innovation and Elegance

Fujian, a province famed for its lush mountains and coastal beauty, is the legendary birthplace of China’s most iconic teas. From the mineral-rich cliffs of Wuyi producing robust, roasted Oolongs (“Yancha” Rock Teas) like Da Hong Pao, to the gentle rolling hills of Anxi—home of the floral, creamy Tieguanyin—Fujian’s diverse terroir delivers extraordinary variety and depth. Delicate white teas such as Silver Needle and White Peony thrive in Fuding’s misty valleys, while the region’s black teas, including Jin Jun Mei and Golden Monkey, dazzle with smooth, honeyed complexity.

Fujian

Fujian is also the heart of traditional jasmine tea, hand-scented for centuries with fresh blossoms. Every cup from Fujian showcases centuries of mastery, innovation, and sustainable cultivation, making this region a treasure trove for tea lovers seeking both time-honored classics and new discoveries. Experience the artistry and richness of Fujian in every fragrant infusion.
