Using a gaiwan, start with short infusions (20–30 seconds), then gradually increase steeping time with each subsequent brew. If you’re using the European teapot method, expect most teas to offer 1–3 flavorful infusions, with longer initial steeping times (2–4 minutes) to extract balanced flavor.
